So due to the AWESOME people at WeXogo.com, we are able to offer a raffle drawing for anyone that donates, and that prize is....

< dramatic drum roll >

THE PATHFINDER BEGINNER BOX!!!

But wait there's more! Brian Patterson (aka @D20Monkey) has also brought a giveaway to the pile! Check it out:

A set of Dungeon and Dragons Tiles!

So how are we going to do it? We'll select one person two people at random who has donated via the Chip In widget (to your right). Sometime during our run (probably after the first or second TPK) we'll select one name at random and they will win the Beginner Box from WeXogo.

You've got from now til sometime after 3pm Central tomorrow to donate!
Right now we've got about 7 donators, so your odds are pretty good.

Good luck and remember it's "FOR CHARITY"!

Crucible of the Odds--the survey

So it should be said that David Flor of A Walk in the Dark is awesome! Not only did he offer a pdf of his module "The Heart of Fire" free to everyone who donates, but he also set up this awesome survey for all of you fine folks to place bets on the Crucible of the Odds game:

Check Out the Survey Here!

Fill it out and spread it around! And be sure to follow David Flor on twitter at @brainclouds and on facebook at A Walk in the Dark.

Thanks and we'll see you all Saturday.

Now Accepting Donations!

Hello again adventurers, dungeon masters, and NPCs!

After getting caught up in the real world. I have finally had time to setup a chipin donation widget (it should be over to your right) where you can donate to the Crucible of the Odds run.

All donations go directly to the Childs Play and if you use the widget you can leave us a comment and we'll have your email, as we're arranging some gifts for our contributors (which I'm sure I'll have an update on soon).

So now I'm sure you're questioning, why $1000 dollars? Well last time we were able to raise a little over $900 dollars for charity so we thought we set a baseline to see if we could get just a bit more this time around :).

You might also be wondering why is the date setup til June 7th? We want to give people who are on different pay schedule periods time to donate when they can.

Also, how do you decide how much you want to donate? Well you can do it one of two ways...

1) You can donate a flat amount

2) You can pledge (just leave a comment on this blog) an amount per skull that the group gets (last time it was 0), or how many times they have a Total Party Kill (last time it was 3 I believe), or anything you want to, just have fun with it.

Thanks and if you've got any questions, or would like to get in contact, shoot me an email at wesleykhall@gmail.com.

Happy adventuring,
-Wesley

SO WHAT THE HELL IS ALL THIS?!

Let me explain, a few months ago a few of us got together to play Crucible of the Gods, a fourthcore module for Dungeons and Dragons 4e. Through trash talking via twitter, this garnished some attention and somebody brought about the idea that they would make charitable donations to see us play (this may not be exactly how it happened but it's late and my memory sucks). So we posted it around some sites (mainly d20monkey.com) and we had people pledging for each skull that we got and also, for each PC that died, and bonus for TPKs (which there was 3).

We ended up streaming it on Ustream and had so much fun doing it and was able to raise so much money for charity that we wanted to do a second take of it, and it's happening May 26th in the afternoon. Stay tuned to this site for updates, along with a place to make pledges, and we'll see if we can't kick up any special offers for the folks who take their time to donate.

Bookmark this site for future updates! Thanks!

P.S. you can listen to our original run here, just to see how bad the group is at this module. MUHAHAHAHA
